My professional work and my community work have never felt like separate things. For over a decade I've contributed to LGBTQ+ arts organizations not just as a strategist or producer, but as someone invested in the health and future of the culture itself.
Programmed across two of the country's leading LGBTQ+ film festivals, NewFest and Outfest. I curated the films for comedy, gay, and genre shorts blocks alongside programming leadership with a focus on inclusive, audience-first selection as well as episodic programming for NewFest specifically. In addition to programming shorts blocks, I coordinated in-person and virtual panels for NewFest that were done in partnership with Meta and Netflix.
Programmed and produced two events for Circa, One Institute's LGBTQ+ history festival: a queer history-themed comedy show and a panel on queer television produced in partnership with GLAAD.
Moderated a panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of Shondaland in April 2025 at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, exploring the role of music across two decades of iconic television. Panelists included Betsy Beers, Alex Patsavas, Kris Bowers, and Mark Mothersbaugh.
Led post-screening Q&As at both NewFest and Outfest, facilitating conversations between filmmakers and festival audiences.
Serve as a committee member contributing to the marketing and communications strategy for One Institute, supporting the organization's mission to advance LGBTQ+ research, culture, and visibility.
For five consecutive years, evaluated filmmaker grant applications for the NewFest and Netflix Filmmaker Fund, applying cultural insight and independent editorial judgment to support emerging LGBTQ+ voices in film.
